Hi Everyone! It's Heidi.

It's 2AM and a great time to post since I'm awake.  Elora is sleeping with her dad. It's overwhelming, this whole experience......but Greg and I have experienced such peace through it.  Our God is so good and faithful!  Thank you all for your multiple prayers and for your comments!!  We miss you all so much, but are cherishing this time with Elora and being immersed in her culture.

Greg is an awesome blogger and hard act to follow.  He'll keep you up to speed on all the happenings of yesterday.  We have many videos and pics to share, but I will be the random blogger.

I had bought some "cup o noodles" on Sunday night anticipating that we might want to eat in once we had Elora and not knowing how she might be feeling.  When we got back to our hotel around 4, I was hungry and figured she must be too.  I broke out my bag of pistachios and we went to town.  She liked them a lot and finished off a couple bottles of water too.

Poor thing has a runny nose and sounds congested while sleeping too.  I showed her where the tissues were and afterward, she had no problem going to get her own tissues as needed.  One time she shut and locked the bathroom door when she went in. She thought it was funny when Greg tried to get in and couldn't. (much to his dismay)

Finally I tried my hand at making the soups.  I successfully boiled the tap water (undrinkable w/o boiling first).  I smelled the seasonings first and thought they were spicy, so I only used half of hers.  Oh my!!!!  Mine was so spicy I couldn't finish it.  I think hers was somewhat spicy too, but she seemed thrilled to be eating it and got through half.  She refused Greg's peanut butter on Ritz crackers.  After we finished the soup though, she gave them a try.

My first impression is that Dad is a favorite as an entertainer, but Mom will be looked to for nourishment.  :-) She potties in the potty, brushes her teeth, washes herself in the tub, and folded a new package of underwear  after taking the tape off of it.  She's very capable, loves the TV and all of Dad's electronics.

Jenny, the magnetic dress up doll was the toy of choice we took to our first meeting and she LOVED it!!!  She has hidden it on the couch under some pillows......maybe in case some other kids come and try to rob her?  Lol.

She also likes a wipe off writing pad we got her and got a kick out of Greg trying to write while she was.  She laughed and laughed when she'd erase his writing.  Yesterday was one big joke to her.  She laughed and giggled throughout the afternoon and night.  Maybe we just look funny.......

I better try and get some more sleep.  We miss you!!
